The wonderful NESHAMA CARLEBACH is coming to Los Angeles on June 20, and bringing hope, love and music to benefit MRCS.
Details below!
The roots of Bikur cholim, the act of visiting the sick can be traced back to the Torah, when G-d visits Abraham after his circumcision (Genesis18:1). Bikur cholim is mentioned in the Babylonian Talmud several times and states that "[One must visit] even a hundred times a day" and that "He who visits a person who is ill takes away a sixtieth of his pain."
Mobile Rabbinical Chaplaincy Services, a recognized Non-Profit Organization provides Rabbinic visits to Jewish patients and residents of Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living facilities and hospitals, who are mostly unaffiliated and otherwise would have no Judaic connection. In addition, we provide On-Call Chaplaincy services for emergency situations such as hospitalizations and End-of-Life events. There is no charge to the patient/resident at any time for these services.
Facility and Hospital Visitation
We are happy to visit your loved ones in their Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living facilities. We offer hope, counseling and above all, we bring them a Jewish Connection that may be missing in their lives. We are available to visit patients in all hospitals and facilities in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Shabbat and Holiday Services
What would Shabbat be without a visit from a Rabbi who conducts Shabbat and Holiday Services? We are happy to engage your residents in the exciting ritual of bringing in Shabbat and holidays much in the same way that they have in past years.
Classes and Lectures
Would your residents enjoy learning or relearning to read Hebrew? Maybe learning Conversational Hebrew?? How about weekly Torah Study, or simply classes and lectures on subjects like Coping with chronic disease or dementia??? As part of our visits, we are able to arrange classes and lectures to fit your residents' needs and interests.
